April 16, 2007 First meeting of Accreditation Steering Committee
June 1, 2007 Working Groups continue with or begin their work
June 28, 2007 Internal accreditation evaluation carried out
May, 2008 AVMA will notify OVC Dean of requirements for preliminary reports, and arrangements for site visit are made
Sept 1, 2008 Final draft of OVC's Self-Study Document completed
Dec 1, 2008 OVC sends Self-Study Document to AVMA
Feb 1 - Feb 5, 2009 joint AVMA/CVMA accreditation site visit to OVC
Sept, 2009 AVMA Council on Education will vote on OVC's accreditation status based on site team report findings – telephone report to Dean
Oct, 2009 Letters confirming accreditation status sent to Dean, President of University, Canadian Veterinary Medical Association, and Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
