Climate change, water quality and other environmental issues affect both humans and animals. They can impact humans and animals directly, or by indirect impacts on the environment of animals or disease-transmitting vectors. Although much of our effort is directed towards infectious agents, toxic agents and pollutants are of great interest because of their potential detrimental effects.
