Sophie enjoys all aspects of internal medicine, but have a special interest in immune-mediated diseases, hemostasis, endocrinology and hepatobiliary diseases.

In 2013, she received the ACVIM Certificate of Clinical Excellence Award.

Sophie graduated from the University of Montreal in St-Hyacinthe. Following her graduation in 2012, she stayed an additional year to complete a rotating internship. Sophie then moved to Los Angeles to join the team at Animal Specialty Hospital, where she completed a specialty internship in internal medicine. She started a DVSc and residency in internal medicine at the University of Guelph in August 2014.

Sophie's research focus is on hemostasis, most particularly platelet function. She is trying to improve the capability of detecting platelet dysfunction by optimizing different tests, as well as trying to make those tests available to general practices. This will particularly be helpful to monitor antiplatelet therapy in immune-mediated hemolytic anemia.
