Dr. Adam Ogilvie, BSc, DVM

Ogilve.pngDr. Adam Ogilvie grew up in PEI. He attended Dalhousie University for his undergraduate degree, before being accepted into the DVM program at the Atlantic Veterinary College at UPEI. Following his DVM, moved to Ontario to begin a rotating internship at the OVC, followed by a Residency in Small Animal Surgery. Adam is interested in all aspects of surgery, with a special interest in minimally invasive surgery and orthopedics.

Adam's current research emphasis is on the use of silver-coated urinary catheters to reduce the risk of acquiring a catheter-associated urinary tract infection in dogs. He is currently conducting a clinical trial, as well as laboratory studies in order to help understand and potentially reduce the risk of catheter-associated urinary tract infections.
