Support Group

Pet Loss Support Group of OVC

Monthly meetings take place on the third Tuesday of every month.  Individuals who have lost their beloved animal companion come and share their stories, losses, feelings of grief and coping strategies in a safe, understanding, non-judgemental and confidential environment.  Some people benefit just by listening to others and realizing that they are not alone and there are people who can truly understand the pain they are going through.  Some people benefit by sharing their stories, listening to others and learning about different coping strategies.

Although this is a group for animal companion owners to support one another, our Clinical counsellor is available to answer questions, facilitate and provide suggestions, information and resources.

Winter meetings:

January 26, February 23 and March 29
Time: 6 pm to 7:30 pm
Cost: Free of charge
Place: Animal Cancer Centre, Client Lounge adjacent to the waiting area
