Anesthetic machines may require relocation when filling with inhalant. Place the machine near some type of room exhaust to reduce contamination of the room. Cold air return vents, exhaust fans or scavenging systems will assist in removing pollution in the area. Open windows should only be considered if the movement of air past them results in a draft rather than blowing into the room.
