The Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC) is at the forefront of innovation when it comes to environmental responsibility. Our centre is in the process of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification and we expect to be the first certified building at the University of Guelph. LEED certification focuses on improving our already high level of performance in areas of environmental and human health such as:
- Energy and atmosphere efficiency
- Indoor environmental quality
- Materials and resource selection
- Sustainable site development
- Water efficiency
The PHC was constructed in an environmentally conscious manner and allows for a large amount of natural light throughout the building, which allows us to be extremely energy conscious.
Be sure to visit our virtual tour and photo gallery to see our beautiful practice for yourself. Better yet, book a personal tour with us here at the Primary Healthcare Centre! We would love to show you around. For more information on the requirements and process of LEED certification, please visit the LEED website.
