Photo Submission Deadline
Sunday March 11th, 2012 - 11 pm

Online Photo Submission
Photos will be submitted online on courselink, login into D2L
and select OVC Photo Contest under the Guest tab.
(everyone in OVC will be given access to this 'course' site)

  • $2 for 1 photo
  • $5 for 3 photos
  • $10 for 6 photos
  • $15 for 9 photos
  • $20 for 12 photos

Send fees to Nathalie Lemieux, Pathobiology Rm 1814
(label envelope Photo Contest entry and include your name, # of photos )

Payment required prior by the end of the voting period

Photo Requirements

  • Size requirement (for printing purposes): minimum of pixels at  2400 x 3000 pixels/inch
    NOTE: lower resoltuion images will not be eligible for 1st place prizes as it needs to print at a minimum of an 8 x 10 print
  • Colour and black & white photos accepted in all categories
  • First Place winners and Best in Show photos are displayed in the OVC for a year
  • Image file name: YourFullName - Category (please select 1 category for each image entry)
  • Each image submission can be submitted in 1 category
  • Past winning photos will not be eligible in the contest

Categories

  • Human Animal Bond
  • Companion Animals (dogs, cats, horses, rabbits, ferrets, guinea pigs, etc.)
  • Farm Animals (cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, chicken, etc.)
  • Avian (wild or captive)
  • Wildlife (any species)
  • Zoo / Exotic Animal (any captive species - pet, zoo, rehabilation facility, etc)
  • Action / At Play (any animal species)

Voting Committee

Volunteers from each phase as well as grad students, faculty and staff will be asked to join the voting committee for this years contest.

Voting will be done individually online between March 5th and 9th. Contact Michelle Horton mhorton@uoguelph.ca if you wish to joing the voting committee.

The annual photo contest is organized by Phase III Students. This year's contest committe members are: Michelle Horton, Cara Toscano, and Natasha Asotra.
