Welcome to the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) at the University of Guelph.

With faculty and administration sharing like-minded ideas on furthering animal care, research and innovative teaching methodologies, OVC offers a rich and intense learning environment to students. Teaching hospital and facilities specialize in large and small animals, with dedicated intensive and oncology care, mean the potential for hands-on and applied learning are endless.

The OVC is one of the founding colleges of the University of Guelph, a university consistently ranked the top comprehensive university in Ontario and placed among the top three in Canada by Maclean’s Magazine. A national survey of university graduates rated the University of Guelph number one in all but one category, putting it at the top of the list of universities graduates would endorse.

One of five veterinary colleges in Canada, OVC is accredited by the Canadian and American Medical Associations and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons of the United Kingdom. OVC grads can be licensed in these countries, giving graduates a spectrum of opportunities.
