In 2017 we marked our 155th year of the Ontario Veterinary College.

OVC was founded in 1862 to train the people needed to care for the horses that helped keep the economy moving in the colony of Upper Canada.

Since OVC's founding, the alumni, faculty, students and staff have been working for the betterment of animals, people and the environment.

Today, OVC is a world leader in veterinary health care, learning, and research. You'll find OVC graduates across Canada and around the world, improving the health of animals, ensuring the safety of the food we eat and protecting the environment that we all share.
