The Comparative Clinical Research Facility contains laboratories equipped for large animal diagnostic and surgical work. Located adjacent to the Central Animal Facility, this facility can be used with species ranging from rabbits to horses.
The facility has surgical suites, advanced diagnostic equipment, temporary animal holding areas, a necropsy and tissue harvesting area, laboratories for sample processing and equipment for analysis of biomechanics and kinematics of gait. The clinic's resources support studies that require surgical manipulation, serial biopsy, endoscopy, special drug treatment and delivery methods, interventional imaging and serial gait analysis.
