The Ontario Veterinary College offers the following advanced degree programs:
Coursework Degrees:
Master of Public Health (MPH): The Master of Public Health (MPH) program is a five-semester professional degree offering graduate students didactic and experiential training in public health practice, including areas such as epidemiology, infectious disease, outbreak response, applied research, and transformation of science into policy.

Master of Biomedical Science (MBS):
The Master of Biomedical Sciences (MBS) degree is a one-year, coursework-based program with a major research project. The program offers students the opportunity to engage in graduate training over a short duration and to gain professional skills that will prepare them for successful careers.

MBS degree programs are offered by 3 academic departments at OVC:
Master of Biomedical Sciences (MBS) in Biomedical Sciences
In addition to the regular MBS program, students may enroll within specialized areas: Applied Reproductive Biotechnologies or Applied Toxicology.
- Master of Biomedical Sciences (MBS) in Clinical Studies
- Master of Biomedical Sciences (MBS) in Pathobiology
Thesis-based Degrees:
Master of Science (MSc): The Ontario Veterinary College offers two year thesis-based Masters of Science (MSc) programs in all four academic departments.
Doctor of Philosophy (PhD): The Ontario Veterinary College offers generally four year thesis-based Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs in three of the four academic departments.
Doctor of Veterinary Science (DVSc): The Doctor of Veterinary Science (DVSc) program is a unique post-professional degree for graduates with a DVM degree or equivalent, offered in three of the four academic departments. The program provides advanced training in a clinical specialization and research to prepare students for board certification, specialized veterinary practice, and/or research-oriented careers.
- DVSc - Clinical Studies (small animal medicine, large animal medicine, small animal surgery, large animal surgery, emergency medicine and critical care, anesthesiology, cardiology, radiology, neurology, oncology, clinical nutrition and pathology)
- DVSc - Pathobiology (veterinary anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, veterinary clinical microbiology, veterinary parasitology)
- DVSc - Population Medicine (theriogenology, ruminant health management, swine health management)
Collaborative Specializations:
Collaborative specializations provide an additional multidisciplinary experience for students enrolled in and completing the degree requirements for one of a number of approved Master's or Doctoral programs.
Graduate Diplomas:
The Ontario Veterinary College offers a three semester Diploma program in an effort to provide advanced practical training in multiple disciplines. Diploma programs are offered in three of the four academic departments.
